Zine: Tokyo Guide coming soon!

I finally found someone to print my zine, so now I'm super motivated to finish it up. Not long now folks. I'm hoping to be done designing it by the end of October and have it up for sale in November. My guide is very photo heavy since it's meant as a photo journal as much as a guide, I think you'll like it pigeons.

Mogu Takahashi-Japanese Artist

I recently fell in love with Mogu Takahashi's blog, a wonderful Japanese artist. I love Takahashi's whimiscal work, especially when she uses materials like cookies and clothes pins to express herself. Here are few pics from her blog you should take a look. I wish I was in Japan to see one of her exhibitions, she's showing her solo show "Kawaii Ugly San" at Cafe Drole in Nakameguro. Watch her video below it's super cute!

Kyushu Shinkansen Commercial

This is an amazing Japanese commercial for the Kyushu Shinkansen which was due to make it's debut the day after the earthquake. The commercial and all it's ads had to be pulled because they were deemed to cheery and happy when the country and the world was in mourning. If you love Japan this will put a smile on your face or get you all teary (like me). Amazing song by Maia Hirasawa "Boom".
